This alloy has the following properties:

Alloy 625 has good machinability and weldability, no post weld cracking sensitivity. It shows excellent corrosion resistance in many media. It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and corrosion in chloride medium. It has good resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc., and also has resistance to alkali and organic acid corrosion in oxidation and reduction environment. Effective resistance to chloride reducing stress corrosion cracking. In the sea water and industrial gas environment, there is almost no corrosion, and it has high corrosion resistance to sea water and salt solution, as well as high temperature. No sensitivity during welding. It is resistant to carbonization and oxidation in static or circulating environment, as well as chlorine containing gas corrosion

Metallographic structure of Inconel 625:

625 is a face centered cubic lattice structure. After holding at 650 ℃ for a long time, the precipitated carbon particles and the unstable quaternary phase are transformed into the stable Ni3 (Nb, Ti) rhombic lattice phase. After solution strengthening, Mo and Nb in Ni Cr matrix will improve the mechanical properties, but the plasticity will be reduced

The applications of Inconel 625 include:

The softened and Annealed Low Carbon Alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry. It has good corrosion resistance and high strength, making it a thinner structural component. Alloy 625 can be used in seawater contact and high mechanical stress. Typical applications:

1. Components of organic chemical process with chloride, especially in the case of acid chloride catalyst

2. Digesters and bleachers for the pulp and paper industry

3. Absorption tower, reheater, flue gas inlet damper, fan (wet), agitator, guide plate and flue in FGD system

4. Equipment and components used in the manufacturing of sour gas environment

5. Acetic acid and acetic anhydride reaction generator

6. Sulfuric acid condenser
