This alloy has the following properties:
The aluminum and chromium content of 25cr-5al is high, and the iron content is high. Because of Al2O3 formed on the surface, it has high oxidation resistance, thermal strength and positive temperature coefficient below 1000 ℃. Under normal temperature, the properties of plasticity, cold stamping and welding are general. After annealing, the structure of the alloy is ferrite, which is unstable in the process of use. 475 ℃ is the brittleness temperature zone. After heating for a long time, the grains are continuously coarse, which makes the material brittle gradually.

Applications of Cr25Al5 include:
1. As a heating element, it is mainly used for heat treatment furnace with temperature below 1000 ℃, especially for continuous furnace. Such as mesh belt quenching furnace, etc
2. Electric heating wire widely used in electric heating pipe and household electric heater
3. Resistance materials used in resistance box
